The House
We honestly felt so spoilt and totally immersed in utter luxury during our stay at Indie Beach House, having this huge three bedroom home all to ourselves for two nights and three days. It is the perfect getaway for couples, families or groups and we absolutely loved it.
Rooms
The house has two levels and in each room it offers 2 kingsize beds & 2 singles, air-conditioning, the latest anti mosquito units, ensuite bathrooms (one of which has a luxurious sunken bath) and 4G Wi-Fi. The rooms are super clean, extremely comfortable and in all honesty we didn’t want to leave.
Master Bedroom
During our stay we opted for the master bedroom which is located upstairs and it is pretty much its own apartment seperate from the downstairs. The room is connected to the living room, and includes a large king size bed, air-conditioning, two bed side tables, power sockets, en-suite bathroom with free toiletries, fresh towels, sunken bath and shower, toilet, large mirror and sink and a walk in wardrobe.
The Living Room
This is the main part of the upstairs which is super spacious, includes 2 large sofas and 2 comfortable armchairs with coffee table. There is also a large flat screen smart TV mounted to the wall, large cupboard with books, seperate toilet, 2 fans and access to the balcony which overlooks the pool and beach. Its a great place for everyone to hang out and chill.
Communal areas
It has a fully equipped kitchen which is stocked with an Espresso machine for those coffee fiends, Nutri-Bullet for the fitness freaks, microwave and a gas barbecue.
There are huge TV’s on both floors which links to the stereo and plenty of DVD’s to pick from should you want to have a night in and chill on the comfortable sofas.
Outside
Directly outside the veranda doors you are greeted with a beautiful and inviting 10m pool surrounded by a peaceful garden, sun loungers and sitting area. The garden leads directly onto the sandy beach and with perfect views of the gorgeous clear water ocean.
The house comes with
- Staff – the house staff, manager, chef and night security will assist with meals, transport (tours airport transfers), what to do and where to go locally
- Daily breakfast included – a menu is available and it offers fresh juices and smoothies, fruit, western and Sri Lankan options
- Menu prepared by their in-house chef for meals snacks and drinks
- Daily cleaning and access to a washing machine

Activities
The Beach
Since you are practically on the beach front it is well worth spending some time there, whether you just want to go for strolls, sunbathe & relax, splash around in the ocean or go for some kayaking or surfing, the choice is up to you.
The Pool
While staying here you definitely have to make the most of the pool. Since its 10m long its really good for getting in some decent swimming, or you can just grab a few drinks and laze around in its cool waters. Perfect!
The south coast of Sri Lanka offers something for anyone:
Wander the UNESCO listed Galle Fort, best early in the morning or late afternoon when it’s cool. Go to the town and check out a sari shop or get a shave and haircut. Head to off to Dewata beach and learn to surf and while you are there try a short eat at Sahana. Take a tuk tuk up to Hikkaduwa to see/feed the turtles on the beach.
Jump on a bike and ride a couple of kilometres to ‘water for elephants’, or a river trip on the Gin Ganga. Or my ultimate favourite – go to Udawalawe to see elephants or down to Yala for the leopards.
How to get there
The house is pretty central and easy to get to.

Summary
This house is absolutely beautiful and I am so glad that we chose to stay here for a few nights – its the ultimate Sri Lankan experience and I honestly did not want to leave.
The room/s are spectacular, with traditional but modern Sri Lankan influences and amazing views right from our bed. The house itself is super clean, welcoming and the staff on-site are so friendly, they can honestly not do enough for you to make your stay that little bit more comfortable than what it already is.
You will honestly want to spend longer
The pool is very unique and the location itself are hands down the best part about Indie Beachouse. When you throw in the short walking distance to the beach or visit the lighthouse in Galle Fort for sunset – you are onto a winner!
If you are in Galle, Sri Lanka and you want to have a unique luxury experience, I would highly recommend Indie Beachouse.
