How old is ‘Too Old’ to travel?
⇷☓⇸
I hate it when people say this. There is no age limit to when you can go travelling. Its not a young persons game anymore and anyone can do it. I’m someone who resents being told I cant do something and if anything it just makes me want to do it more.
I am only 32 but still people say to me ‘Aren’t you too old to go travelling now?’
Not at all! As I have stated in previous posts I don’t fit in to the conventional social lifestyle of getting a partner, married, job, mortgage, kids and marriage. That isn’t for me right now. Age is but a number and it certainly shouldn’t stop you no matter how old you are.
Do it for yourself
For me personally, I have no real ties other than family and close friends, but they will still be here when (if) I get back and my career I can happily give up with the knowledge that I will see the world instead. I think it is totally worth it.
For those of you who are older you may have other ties though like children, partners and debts. This is obviously a bit harder but still not an issue. Especially if the children are old enough to stand on their own two feet and support themselves. Debts can be dealt with and I’m sure your other half will probably be up for travelling just as much as you.
But my motto is:
Life is too short.
Make the most of it and enjoy it whilst you still can.
