Whens Best To Travel?

For those of you that think: ‘I Cant Travel Right Now’

⇷☓⇸

Its always in the back of your mind, whether you realise it or not.

Subconsciously you’re thinking of escaping to some exotic country with white sandy beaches, clear blue seas, hot weather and an alcoholic beverage in your hand. Its something you see and hear on a regular basis whether its a billboard on the side of a building or adverts on the train and buses you’re on going to and from work.

They are selling the dream you so desperately want but one you instantly dismiss whether its because of money or time. Something will always come up with plans put off until ‘tomorrow’ or you just need to wait until the ‘right time’ comes around. But im sorry to say, there will never be a right time to travel or visit those exotic places because you will always have some reason to stay at home working your 9-5 job, doing the same daily mundane things and seeing the same people you’re probably sick of.

Typical Excuses

There is always an excuse and stepping out into the unknown will always be a dream for you.

I know this because I used to think exactly the same. I was always thought that tomorrow will be the day, I can always plan it another day, tomorrow will be the day I go for it.

But it never happens. ‘Tomorrow’ is just an easy excuse to not go through with it, keeping it at arms length teasing you.

You will still have the same bills to pay, you will still second guess yourself, you will still put it off to ‘tomorrow’, find another excuse why you cant go, other people will tell you why you cant go, you will still worry about the future and why you cant just quit your job and go. Tomorrow something else will always come up.

Then you wake up the next day, ready to book everything, ready to research where you’re going and you may even venture into STA or a travel agent. But you will leave without the intention of actually booking anything, telling yourself you will definitely do it tomorrow. But guess what. You wont.Swallow hard, ignore everyone telling you otherwise and start properly researching.

There is nothing that is stopping you

I’m not saying just go without proper planning. That would be idiotic. There’s a lot of planning that needs to be done. Where do you want to go? What budgets will you need? Set a date when you want to go. Think how can you save enough in that time? Look up visas. Look up destinations. Sort out your debts and bills. Go back to STA and get a rough idea of what else you can do. See when the cheapest flights are through somewhere like Budget Air or Sky Scanner.

I am just the same as you and everyone else. Dont believe me? Read my About Me or Am I Running Away?. I have the same bills, the same student debts, the same low paid wage etc. But there are ways around it.

Cant afford it? That’s not an issue
