What really stands out about Plataran Canggu is its labyrinth shaped layout which is a leftover legacy from the renowned architect – Made Wijaya, creating the ultimate seclusion for guests to explore and enjoy. The rooms themselves are beautiful traditional alang-alang roofed villas with inspiring Balinese architecture and a strong sense of culture which will leave you mesmerised.

If you find yourself in Canggu, Bali, then I would highly recommend booking a few nights at Plataran Canggu.

During our stay at Plataran Canggu we opted to stay in the One Bedroom Private Pool Villa which really caught our eye from the word go. These Joglo-style villas were spacious, full of natural light, beautifully decorated with Indonesian art, stunning hand crafted woodwork and the tropical garden views really took our breath away.

Furnished with a king sized bed, fluffy pillows, soft linens and surrounded by topical foliage and our huge balcony which overlooked our own private pool, we really felt like a king and queen. The en-suite bathroom is utterly superb with a custom designed walk in bath/shower and marble vanity sinks plus large mirrors.

The Pools

Some of the most tropical swimming pools I have ever been in, these are surrounded by luscious greenery which really gives you that exotic feel like you are on a deserted island somewhere. Have a float, listen to the birds chirp and relax the day away while cooling off from the Bali heat. With plenty of sun loungers around, I was quite happy laying here enjoying my book and chilling out.

Cook like a local

Take part in one of the best authentic cooking class in Bali. Together with their talented culinary team, learn how to perfectly bring out the complex Balinese flavors into your dish. This culinary journey will be held in a traditional Balinese kitchen with a wood fired oven to enhance the authenticity of the cooking process and you will also join the chef at the local markets to collect all of your ingredients.

Surfing

You cant visit Bali and not go surfing. Canggu has waves suitable for surfers of every level. Motorbikes with surfboards attached driving towards one of the beaches ready to hit the waves, you will see these throughout the entire day. Expect surfers to be on their boards at 6 AM and can definitely get crowded quickly.

Pura Tanah Lot Temple

Pura Tanah Lot is one of those things you must do in Canggu. It is a complex and famous religious site located on top of a rock formation. Although Tanah Lot is extremely popular with foreign visitors throughout the whole day, Balinese people still come here to worship the Bali Sea gods which is a fantastic sight to see in itself.
