Executive with Ocean View

During our stay at Mövenpick Hotel we opted to stay in the Executive with Ocean View Room which certainly did not disappoint and was perfect for our needs. The room was extremely spacious with plenty of natural light coming in through the large bay windows which overlook the ocean front and the perfect place to watch the world go by.

The room itself comes with a king size bed which was super comfortable, with large fluffy pillows, bedside tables with lamps, a writing desk, armchairs, table, large flat screen TV, mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine and lots of luggage space.

What you get

It comes equipped with free tea & coffee making facilities, free bottled daily water, free toiletries, fresh lines, fluffy towels, plenty of power sockets, strong Wi-Fi, dressing gowns, ironing board & iron, satellite TV, air-conditioning and security safe.

The en-suite bathroom is very modern and clean with chrome, glass and mirrors. It has a ‘his & hers’ mirror and sink, a deep bath tub, rain shower and toilet with views of the ocean.

The Rooftop Infinity Pool

On the 24th floor of the hotel is the crown jewel of Mövenpick – the infinity pool! This is honestly incredible and a great place to have a refreshing dip, with ocean & city views, especially for sunset. It’s quite large, with room to get some decent laps in or if you wanted to relax you have space to do as well. Beach towels are provided for free with plenty of sun loungers to pick from.’

The Rooftop Bar

Adjacent to the infinity pool is the bar which hosts a number of cocktails, drinks and small bar snacks. This is quite a lively place in the evenings, especially around sunset and definitely the place to be to socialise and meet up with friends or hang out. There are plenty of comfortable seats and tables with great views of the ocean.

The Jacuzzi

Located on the rooftop is the jacuzzi which is just to the side of the infinity pool and the bar providing more great views of the ocean, with plenty of sun loungers around it and the ultimate place to unwind and relax.

Spa Ceylon

Fancy a pamper day? Then this is the perfect place to do it! Their treatments at Spa Ceylon range from full body pampering to signature royal Kandyan massages. Let the scent of lemongrass and the sight of ocean views lead you towards tranquil relaxation. Lavender, ylang-ylang and patchouli will promote that deep restful sleep you crave after an exhausting day. Perfect!

This awesome hotel is absolutely perfect, peaceful, and the best place to stay and relax while in Colombo. I am so glad that we chose to stay here for a couple of nights to explore the city or just relax.

The room was fantastic, we had a super comfortable nights sleep and really enjoyed being so close to city and the beach. The staff are so friendly, they can honestly not do enough for you to make your stay that little bit more comfortable than what it already is.

You will want to spend longer

The hotel is a great place to meet people, enjoy great food and take in some fantastic views. When you throw in the close proximity to the temples, other large cities like Galle and all of the other attractions you are onto a winner!
