The pool is centrally located and is surrounded by plenty of sun loungers, umbrellas, pool bar and parallel to the river. It is very large, clean, refreshing, and a great place to cool down, relax with a drink and even get a couple of laps in. This is honestly a great way to spend part of your day after exploring the beautiful Hoi An cooling down and relaxing.

At this delightful bar you can relax and unwind, enjoying a choice of delicious coffees and teas, fruit juices and various drinks and snacks. I found this the perfect place to work from my laptop as the Wi-Fi super strong here and I could keep topped up with delicious coffee while I worked. For those of you after something a bit stronger, they have a great selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.

Grab some lunch or dinner at Le Pavillon Boutique Hotel

Le Pavillon Luxury Resort & Spa, Hoi An, Vietnam

The great thing about Le Pavillon is that they have a number of different hotels located around Hoi An and the Boutique is pretty special as it has a fantastic restaurant dedicated to providing delicious food and drink. We went there for lunch and opted for the set menu which consisted of – Avocado with shrimp salad, Creamy roasted tomato basil soup, Roasted duck breast with mash potato and vegetables and a delicious passion fruit ice cream to finish it off.

Definitely treat yourself to one of their delightful cocktails as well – we had the Le Pavillon Welcome Drink and Blue Margarita. The atmosphere was superb, staff & service were excellent and we left with very full stomachs.

Feel like shopping? If you must pick a place for splurging on clothes, shoes and bags, make it Hoi An. There is an endless number of tailor shops (over 400!) , so many that you really won’t know which one to choose, so this is really a must do in Hoi An. Some of the shops are really cheap, but remember that you usually get what you pay for.

Visit Ellie’s Cafe Hoi An

Ellie's Cafe Hoi An, Hoi An, Vietnam

This delightful little and quaint cafe is situated not too far from the Japanese Bridge and delivers delicious heathy food and drinks to your palate. Its a lovely atmosphere and the owner Ellie is a great host providing some great conversation and dishes. I highly recommend trying to the falafel bowl or the chicken with quinoa and also Ellie’s Detox Recipe drink is quite tasty too.

See the Japanese Bridge

Japanese Bridge, Hoi An, Vietnam

This is a Hoi An must do. While Hoi An has a rich heritage, it’s also not ashamed of its links with other cultures. Way back in the 1590s, the Japanese community here wanted to create better links with the Chinese quarters of town. They decided the best way to do that was to build a bridge that would cross the river, and bring the two sides together.

Day trip to My Son Ruins

My Son Ruins, Hoi An, Vietnam

This complex of abandoned Hindu temples dates back to the fourth century, and for hundreds of years it was the temple of choice for the kings of the Champa dynasty, as well as the final resting place for many of them. While it’s not as well known as Cambodia’s Angkor Wat, My Son is very much the Vietnamese equivalent, and the sense of peace and tranquility to be found here is something that will stay with you for a very long time.

Stroll along Lantern Market

Lantern Street, Hoi An, Vietnam

Hoi An really comes alive at night, and an Hoi An must see is the spectacular Lantern Market. Every evening, the 300-meter-long Nguyen Hoang Street is transformed into a sea of color, as vendors set up stalls selling everything from handmade jewelry and clothes to delicious snacks. The whole thing is topped off- and takes its name from- the hundreds of different colored lanterns that decorate the street and illuminate the stalls. If you’re looking for an authentic Hoi An experience, then the Lantern Market is not to be missed!

This lovely hotel is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to stay and relax while in Hoi An. I am so glad that we chose to stay here for a few nights – its the ultimate modern Vietnamese experience!

The rooms were fantastic, we had a super comfortable nights sleep and really enjoyed watching the surrounding tropical palm trees, pool and river from our bed and balcony. The large pool was my favourite feature as it was only a stones throw away from our room and super refreshing. The staff are also so friendly, they can honestly not do enough for you to make your stay that little bit more comfortable than what it already is.
