Frangipani El Nido Resort

A DREAMY BOUTIQUE HOTEL

⇷☓⇸

Frangipani Resort is a luxurious beachfront boutique hotel amidst the stunning natural backdrop of El Nido’s famous Karst Limestone. While it is not the most central location it is a beautiful hotel which offers a stunning pool and views that can’t be compared to anything in central El Nido.

Each suite offers the usual hotel comforts and spacious living spaces that face the stunning beach, with spectacular sunset views of the islands of El Nido. It is super modern, clean and very comfortable making it a great place to stay and relax.

If you find yourself in El Nido, Palawan then I would highly recommend booking a few nights at Frangipani Resort.

Highlights

  • Stylish and super modern rooms
  • Beautiful views from the hotel and balcony
  • Wi-Fi everywhere in the resort
  • Luscious outdoor pool
  • Private beach a few steps away from the resort

Suite Room

Frangipani El Nido Room

During our stay at Frangipani Resort, we opted to stay in the suite room which exceeded our expectations for the few days we were there. It was on the ground floor, right next to the pool with the steps down to the beach directly in front of our front door, surrounded by luscious green palm trees. Perfection!

The suite was extremely spacious offering 50sqm of floor space which you really noticed as we weren’t falling over each other while getting ready or just chilling in our room. It came with a king sized bed that was incredibly comfortable and I had some amazing nights sleep which was a nice change.

What you get

You also get beach mats, bathrobes, plenty of towels and a hairdryer.

Overall, it was a great room, offering amazing beach views (especially at sunset) and extremely comfortable.

Activities

The Outdoor Pool

Frangipani El Nido pool

It is deliciously exotic, surrounded by tropical plants and overlooking the beach and ocean. The water was extremely clean and refreshing and a great way to spend the relaxing by the pool soaking up the sun. We spent most of our time here just overlooking the beach with some cold drinks and just enjoying the pure bliss.

The Beach

Frangipani El Nido

The resort is literally on the beach, so you are a few steps away from the golden sand and inviting ocean water. Grab a towel, some suncream and head down there for the day. They also offer non-motorised water sports such as paddle boarding, snorkelling and beach games.

Explore the area

While it is a little tucked away from the main city of El Nido it still relatively close to all of its main attractions such as the Big Lagoon which is only 8km away, or the Matinloc Shirne which is 14km away.

Another option is to look at the number of tours that are offered and book a boat to take you around the smaller islands.

Food with a view

Frangipani El Nido restaurant

Frangipani has two restaurants which you enjoy while you’re staying there.
There is the Rubra Lounge & Bar which you can sip some colourful cocktails while watching the vibrant sunset over the ocean backdrop.

Or, Cala offers beach side dining which will definitely leave you with some amazing memories of your time there.

Grab a Bicycle

For a small fee you hire a bicycle and treat yourself to some of the best views of the island. I jumped on one and just rode aimlessly finding some unique nooks and crannies which I would never have usually found otherwise. Great fun!

Head out on a Kayak

If you are really adventurous you don’t need an El Nido tour package, you can create your own Island Hopping El Nido tour. You can use the resorts kayaks and when the sea is calm and you are sporty and brave enough you can peddle out on your own seeking new adventures or just have a laugh.

Hang out at the bar

Frangipani El Nido bar

Frangipani offer a fantastic bar that over looks the ocean and beach and is the perfect spot to settle yourself while having a cold drink and watch as the sun sets behind the mountains in the distance and the array of vibrant colours that burst across the water. Settle yourself in for the night and treat yourself to a cocktail while listening to chilled out music.

How to get there

Frangipani El Nido is only a 15-minute drive from Lio Airport and they offer shuttle buses should you need them. You can also just as easily grab a tricycle which will take you straight there as well and will be a fraction of the cost should you not sort out a shuttle bus with them.

Summary

This place is absolutely beautiful and super modern – I am so happy that we got to stay here for a few nights – its the ultimate unique boutique experience!

The room was incredibly comfortable, clean and offered the most amazing views from the balcony.  The hotel itself is super welcoming and the staff are so friendly, they can honestly not do enough for you to make your stay that little bit more comfortable than what it already is.

You will want to spend longer

The outdoor pool is very unique and the secluded location itself are hands down the best part about Frangipani Resort. When you throw in the private beach on your doorstep, the restaurant & bar and unique boutique communal areas you are onto a winner!
